The Department of Bridges and Roads has said it needs 1,200 billion kip to implement 20 projects and 148 contracts on road repair and construction nationwide.
Of the needed funding, 869 billion kip is needed for road repair and renovation, 251 billion kip for road upgrading, and 93 billion kip for the installation of road drainage and protective facilities.
The department is in the process of sourcing contractors which have rich experience, and are financially and technically competent, according to the Department of Bridges and Roads, Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
Over 596 billion kip were spent on the implementation of 25 road repair projects nationwide.
