(KPL) The 1st Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Buddhist Leaders’ Conference was hosted in Vientiane on Monday to promote traditional relationship, solidarity and cooperation on Buddhism among the three countries.
Taking place at the National Convention Centre, the conference saw the participation of the President of the Lao Buddhist Fellowship Organisation Maha Ngon Damlongboun, the President of the Lao Front for National Development Xaysomphone Phomvihane and over 500 Buddhist monks from the three Indochina countries.
The Buddhist leaders from the three countries also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on enhancing cooperation on promoting Buddhism.
They agreed to promote the exchange of Sangha students, and the organizing of Buddhism related workshops, exhibitions, and study tours as well as the exchange of scholar works to promote Buddhist research.
