Laos has recorded 411 new cases of Covid-19 over the past 24 hours including 26 local transmissions and 385 imported cases.
They were detected among 2,753 people tested for Covid-19 yesterday.
The local infections were reported in Bokeo (18), Savannakhet 5, Vientiane 2 and Champassak 1.
The imported cases, dominated by returning workers from Thailand, included 158 in Champassak, 95 in Savannakhet, 61 in Khammuan, 52 in Vientiane, nine in Saravan, Xayaboury 8 and Oudomxay 2.
Covid-19 has infected more than 211.40 million and killed more than 4.42 million worldwide.
Over 189.19 million people have recovered from the disease since the first case of Covid-19 was reported in Wuhan, China in late 2019.
