Brunei Donates USD 100,000 To Aid Flood Victims In Laos

On Sep 13, Brunei Ambassador to Laos, Mr Na’aim Salleh, presented USD 100,000 to the Lao government to help flood victims in Sanamxay district, Attapeu Province and other parts of the country.

On this occasion, the Brunei ambassador expressed sadness and sympathy over the flooding events in Laos especially the collapse of the saddle dam of the Xe Pian-Xe Nam Noy hydropower plant on Jul 23 which has resulted in the loss of people lives and property, and damages to basic infrastructure namely bridges, roads, schools, and hospitals.

The ambassador expressed his hope that the financial aid will help relieve the suffering of the Lao people and restore their normal livelihoods.
