(KPL) Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen arrived in Vientiane this morning for a two-day visit to the Lao PDR in response to the invitation of Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith.
At a bilateral meeting, Prime Minister Thongloun highly valued the visit of Hun Sen and his delegation as a significant contribution to enhancing the relationship and cooperation between the two countries in all areas, politic, economic, trade and investment, education, tourism, national defence and public security, among others.
The two prime ministers also presided over the signing ceremony of four documents on education, cultural and art cooperation, borrowing elephants from Laos in order to prepare for upcoming major national events in Cambodia, including SEA Games and Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit, and electricity purchase from Laos for Stung Treng province.
Hun Sen is expected to pay courtesy calls on President Bounnhang Vorachit and President of the National Assembly Pany Yathortou this afternoon.
