Vientiane: The Secretariat of the National Assembly of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic has announced a special campaign marking two momentous milestones in the nation’s history. This year, the National Assembly will commemorate its 50th anniversary since its founding on December 2, 1975, alongside the 105th birth anniversary of late President Kaysone Phomvihane, a key leader in the country’s revolutionary history.
According to Lao News Agency, the Secretariat has organized a series of educational and cultural activities aimed at fostering national pride and unity. The campaign will highlight the National Assembly’s crucial contributions to the country’s governance, reflecting on the leadership of President Kaysone Phomvihane and the achievements of the Lao revolution in protecting and developing the nation.
As part of the celebration, the public, civil servants, students, and all interested parties are invited to visit a special exhibition at the National Assembly headquarters. The exhibition will showcase a collection of historical photographs documenting the activities of the National Assembly over the past five decades, including artifacts, documents, and photos tracing the Assembly’s development from its inception to the present day.
