The Chinese Government last Friday donated additional equipment for the production of radio programmes worth US$23,000 to Lao National Radio (LNR) to use in the production of their Chinese language radio programmes.
The handover ceremony for the aid was held in Vientiane Capital between Chinese Ambassador to Laos Mr Guan Huabing, representing the Chinese Government, and Director General of LNR Mr Phosy Keomanivong.
Mr Phosy said that last year the Chinese Embassy to Laos donated a FM 2.5 kW transmitter worth US$25,700 to a team of Chinese Language Radio producers of LNR.
The Chinese Language Radio Programme was established in November 2015 with the aim of producing news covering politics, economics, culture and tourism as well as documentaries about Laos in the Chinese language to serve Chinese audiences in Laos and worldwide. It also promotes the exchange of culture between Laos and China, Mr Phosy said.
