Confrontation over the matter of bribe among Mukhtiarkar, Assistant Commissioner and Tapidars in Badin (Daily Messenger (Pakistan))

Confrontation over the matter of bribe among Mukhtiarkar, Assistant Commissioner and Tapidars. Tapidars threatened to protest or leave the official work and common people also alleges regarding bribe in offices.

According to the details, Tapidars of 140 Dehs and 03 circles including Badin, Seerani and Nindo have called the meeting at Badin where during a meeting confrontation occurred between Mukhtiar Akbar Shah and Assistant Commissioner Badin Syed Paryal Shah over the matter of bribe in office. In this connection, on the Tuesday, while leaving the official work in protest, Tapidars have held meeting with additional Deputy Commissioner Badin, Abdul Qadir Junejo and complained that due to surprise raids of Anti Corruptions and NAB, common people avoid to pay bribe to officers for their work and we are failed to take huge money from the landlords but Mukhtiarkar and Assistant Commissioner Badin are demanding their share of bribe which we are not able to pay them consequently officers made the Tapidars dishearten and upset. They said that in this condition we are not able to work and prefer to go on the leave.

Other hand, it was mentioned that ADC-I threatened to Tapidars to transfer in far-off areas of the district if they leave the official work and sent back the Tapidars. On the occasion, a Tapidar of Deh Lao, Dhani Bux Chang while talking with media said that complained that Mukhtiarkar and Assistant Commissioner Badin have made their offices a home of bribe and most officers are connected with one another and making late in doing the legal work of common people from last six years. Other hand, on the contact, Mr Noor Nabi Bhurgari, Assistant Mukhtiarkar Badin told media that there is no trust in the mentioned incident and Tapidars have not called for strike to leave the work adding more he confirmed that there is no any confrontation between Mukhtiarkar and Assistant Commissioner over the bribe.
