The construction of the new People’s Court of Xamneua district, Houaphan province, with an investment of 8 billion kip (around US$100,000) is expected to be completed in the next two years.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the building was held at Mesouk village, Xamneua district, late last May in the presence of the President of the Houaphan People’s Council Khamvone Bounthavong and the President of Houaphan People’s Court Thongsouk Thongsombath.
The new building is designed to have three storeys with a reinforced concrete structure and a steel roof, complete with electrical wiring, water supply and furniture.
Funds for the construction came solely from the government budget.
The construction work kicked off on May 31 and is scheduled to be completed by 2019.
