Ctrip and Tokio Marine Nichido to Make Groundbreaking Agreement

SHANGHAI, China, July 09, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Ctrip.com International, Ltd. Asia’s largest and the world’s second largest online travel agency, signed a groundbreaking agreement with Japan’s largest and oldest non-mutual private insurance provider Tokio Marine Nichido. The signing ceremony was attended by the Vice President of Ctrip Group Wang Wei, and the Managing Executive Officer of Tokio Marine Nichido, Fumiaki Yokoi.

Established in 1879, Tokio Marine Nichido possesses a wealth of resources that will make important steps toward improving the safety of Japan-bound tourists. Utilising the insurance provider’s real-time links with the Japanese emergency services and its mature disaster response mechanisms, Ctrip will work with Tokio Marine Nichido to better provide updates and support to customers during their stay in Japan, as well as making available to Ctrip customers its disaster response and earthquake prevention guides.
