Luang Prabang’s authorities on Oct 7 organized a cycling event to raise awareness of environmental protection.
The event was attended by Luang Prabang’s Vice Governor Bounleuam Manivong, who is also supervisor of cultural-social work, Vietnamese Consul General to Luang Prabang, Kieu Thi Hang Phuc, Head of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourist’s Tourist Development Department, Phonmaly Inthaphom and Luang Prabang residents and other guests.
The objective of this event also is to celebrate two historic days between Laos and Vietnam as 45th anniversary of the signing of the Laos- Vietnam Treaty of Amity and Cooperation and the 60th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations.
It is to encourage solidarity, amity between young people of the two countries through sports.
This year, Luang Prabang’s Information, Culture and Tourism Department and Vietnam’s Son La held together some activities to promote relations and cooperation.
