First Wedding Fair Launched in Vientiane

The first Wedding Fair was held at Crowne Plaza hotel in Vientiane Capital last Saturday for couples who are planning their wedding.

The two-day event was hosted by Crowne Plaza Vientiane.

We understand that one of the most important days in the life of a couple needs special care and want to showcase a variety of wedding products and services that both couples and professionals wedding planners are looking for when planning their wedding, said Vontavanh Keokachang, a representative of Crowne Plaza Vientiane.

Visitors to the fair would be given special privileges and discounts when hosting a wedding at the hotel and enter a Win a Crowne Plaza Wedding contest, which would grant the lucky couple a chance to host their dream wedding at the luxury hotel-free of charge, said Mr Vontavanh.

The event goers were also enticed with prizes offered by the hotel, from complimentary stays, gym memberships and spa treatments to complimentary dinner vouchers.

The fair also had a wedding show by top fashion designers from the Ministry of Silk, Voravaj Couture, Men Folder and Reynier.

I have five collections of difference styles of the Men Folder brand to show at this event and the Men Folder brand will be presented at the ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase next month in Singapore, said the owner of Men Folder, Bandid Lasavong.

Men Folder brand was showcased in Lao Wow Fashion Week last year and in 2017, as well as at fashion shows in Thailand and Malaysia, said Mr Bandid.

I am very happy that I joined the first wedding fair. I displayed two wedding dresses at the event. I have special designed for Lao and Thai customers, especially minimalist and maximal brides, said Jacky, a representative of Voravaj Couture in Bangkok, Thailand.

Our shop has sent eight wedding dresses to be displayed at the first wedding fair at the Crowne Plaza Vientiane. We are very happy to join this event � this is the first time for us to let Lao society know more about wedding events, said Business Manager of Ministry of Silk Kongsy Huengphoxay.
