Chairman Kim Jong Il was the great revolutionary and peerless patriot, who, endowed with the love for the country and people, performed imperishable exploits that are etched in the history of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

He devoted his whole life to achieving the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people, and was on the road of love for his country and people until the last moment of his life.

During his life he continued his super-intense on-site guidance trip to every part of the country, rain or shine, travelling 669 844km, 17 times as long as the distance round the Earth.

As he bestowed his affection on all the service personnel and people as their own father would do, happiness of the people has come into full bloom, blood-sealed ties between the leader and the people have been strengthened, and the might of socialist Korea markedly enhanced.

His was, indeed, the glorious life of a peerless patriot who dedicated himself to the people as their defender and true servant.

Even though time passes, the august name of Chairman Kim Jong Il and his benevolent image are cherished deep in the hearts of the Korean people, and the history of his devotion continues thanks to the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
