Kasikorn Bank has donated 100,000 Thai baht (over US$2,800) for the development of infrastructure in Vientiane Capital.
The money was handed over by Managing Director of Kasikorn Bank, Mr Phiphit Aneknithi to a representative of the government and Head of the Vientiane Capital Finance Department, Mr Khamphanh Malabandith, in Vientiane Capital on March 13.
The donation will be spent for activities involving the development of Vientiane Capital-based infrastructure.
Kasikorn Bank has extended more loans and offered financial management services to Aeon Leasing Services (Laos) to spur its retails and motorcycle financing businesses. Both parties are also ready to jointly develop payment accepting channels and other innovative services to better serve customers in Laos.
Kasikorn Bank joined hands in supporting the policies of the Lao government, including providing a loan of 300 million Thai baht (US$8.5 million) to Electricite du Laos for the development of electricity networks in rural areas of Laos and for the export of electricity to neighboring countries.
