Lao Brewery Continues to Support Football Development

(KPL) Lao Brewery Company Limited has contributed over 1.3 trillion kip to the Lao Football Federation for its development of the Pepsi Lao Premier League, previously known as the Lao Premier League, for 2018-2020.

The signing ceremony was held at the Lao National Football Federation in Vientiane on Feb 15 between Managing Director of Lao Brewery Company, Mr Henrik Andersen and President of Lao National Football Federation, Mr Viphet Sihachack.

Lao Brewery Company always attaches importance to and get involved in socio-economic development of Lao people through launching various activities like financial support for cultural and sporting events, said Mr Henrik Andersen.

We are proud to take part in supporting the federation to develop Football in Laos. And we believe that our partnership will bring more games to football fans as well as more development to Lao players and raise the level of Lao football in the region, he went on.

Pepsi Lao Premier League 2018 season has drawn eight teams namely Lao Toyota FC, Police FC, DK FC, Savan United FC, Army FC, Master 7 FC, Luang Prabang United FC and Young Elephants FC.

The Pepsi Lao Premier League 2018 season will kick off on Saturday, 24th February 2018 under the 2-leg league format (each club will take on each other twice) for a total of 56 games with weekly live broadcasts on TV Lao Channel and My Cujoo www.mycujoo.tv/lao-football-federation

Pepsi Lao Premier League 2018 matches will take place at four stadiums namely: National Stadium Km 16, National University of Laos Stadium, Luang Prabang Stadium and Savannakhet Stadium.

The winner team will be awarded 300 million kip with Pepsi LPL trophy, 2nd place will be awarded 200 million kip and 3rd place will be awarded 100 million kip with worth more than 1 billion kip.

Additional awards will be given to referee of the season, highest scorer of the season and coach of the season.

All eight clubs will also receive a 50 million kip from the Pepsi Lao Premier League organization.

Pepsi LPL 2018 champion and 1st runner-up will have a chance to represent Laos in next seasons’ AFC Cup, Toyota Mekong Club Championship and other invitational tournaments.

The first week schedule of the Pepsi Lao Premier League will kick off on Sat 24 Feb 2018 – 15:00 Police FC vs Savan United FC at National Stadium Km16, TVLAO live broadcast.
