The Lao Development and Unity Fund has donated aid packages worth 680 million kip (about US$83,000) via the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC), the National Assembly and the Prime Minister’s Office to further improve the lives of underprivileged people living rural areas.
The handover ceremony of the relief aid packages was held in Vientiane Capital, November 19.
The packages were presented by President of The Lao Development and Unity Fund to President of the LFNC Mr Xaysomphone Phomvihane, Vice President of the NA Mr Somphanh Phengkhammy, and Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office Mrs Souvanpheng Bouphanouvong.
The aid packages included blankets, canned fish, rice, socks and gloves. About 400 million kip worth of aid packages were given to the LFNC with the National Assembly and Prime Minister’s Office receiving packages worth about 140 million each.
