Lao police and customs officials have enriched their knowledge and skills on drug inspection and precursor control with Thai government officials.
A training course was held in Vientiane Capital on June 5 under cooperation between the LaoNational Commission for Drug Control (LNCDC)and its Thai relevant organisaion in the presence of Deputy Head of LNCDC, lieutenant colonel Vongxay Phanthavong and senior official of Officeof the Narcotics ControlBoardof Thailand Vitavan Sontonkachit.
The training course on drug inspection and precursor control is an important step towards releasing a national master plan for the control, prevention and countering against illegal drugs in the period of 2016-2020, especially a master plan on drug precursors, analysis and drug abuse inspection, lieutenant colonel Vongxay said, adding that it also implements and puts drug laws into practice. He also spoke about the work the Police Headquarters has done this year.
This event is a good response to the future and long-term demand of drug inspection and control, particularly precursor control: chemical substances that can be legally obtained and then used for drug production.
