Laos and China signed four agreements on media cooperation in Vientiane Capital on December 21, contributing to the existing friendly relations between the Parties and States.
The signing ceremony for the media cooperation agreements was witnessed by Head of the Propaganda and Training Board of the Party Central Committee, Prof. Dr Kikeo Khaikhamphithoun, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China, Mr Liu Qibao, and Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Prof. Dr Bosengkham Vongdara.
The four cooperation contracts are between: China Radio International (CRI) and People’s Daily Newspaper, Radio-TV of Yunnan Province and Lao National TV, the Printing House of Yunnan Province and the Lao National Printing and Distribution House, and Lao National TV and China Agriculture TV or CCTC-7.
The signing ceremony also celebrated the 10th anniversary of the establishment of CRI, broadcast in Laos on FM 93 Mhz.
Following the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr Bosengkham, representing the Lao government, was honoured to present a friendship medal to CRI in recognition of its great contribution to media work, socio-culture and tourism of Laos.
