On February 27, the Ministry of Planning and Investment in cooperation with the Korea Development Institute and Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Laos organized a Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP) Regional seminar between Lao PDR and the Republic of Korea under the framework of the Industrial Development Strategy of the ASEAN countries.
The seminar was participated by Mrs. Sisomboun Ounavong, Director General of The International Cooperation Department and Dr. Tae Kyung Kwon, Senior Advisor, Korea Development Institute, and more than 60 representatives of both sides.
The aim of this meeting was to share experience in the economic development of Korea with the ASEAN countries namely Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam, under the Knowledge Sharing Programme to continue monitoring as a sustainable development partner and to encourage exchanges of comments on key issues in the region, including 3 topics such as Economic Effect of FDI, Standardization for policy industrial development, and Infrastructure Financing Improvement on Public Private Partnership.
The KSP is knowledge driven economic cooperation programme which offers comprehensive policy consultations tailored to the need of partner countries.
Since 2004, KSP has completed policy consultations on more than 990 topics with 64 partner countries in the world. Particular in Asia, more than 300 topics have been consulted through KSP with the 10 partner countries and expected to be completed by early May 2018.
