Laos has recorded 284 new Covid-19 cases over the previous 24 hours including 265 imported infections and 19 local transmissions.

Of the imported cases, 82 were reported in Champassak, 66 in Khammuan, 63 in Savannakhet, 44 in Saravan, seven in Vientiane and one each in Oudomxay, Luang Prabang and Xayaboury.

The local transmissions included 17 cases reported in Savannakhet and two in Bokeo.

With the latest infections, the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the country has reached 11,313 including 4,435 active cases and nine deaths.
