The National Taskforce Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control has recorded 349 new cases of Covid-19 over the previous 24 hours including 312 imported infections and 37 local transmissions.
The imported infections included 104 cases reported in Vientiane, 63 in Khammuan, 55 in Champassak, 53 in Savannakhet, 31 in Saravan, 5 in Luang Prabang and 1 in Xayaboury.
The local infections included 27 cases reported in Bokeo, 8 in Savannakhet, one each in Xekong and Luang Prabang.
Since March 2020, Laos has logged 10,441 confirmed Covid-19 cases including 4,188 active cases and nine deaths.
More than 12,500 people are being quarantined at 98 quarantine centres and 45 hotels nationwide.
