Laos has confirmed 508 new Covid-19 cases nationwide over the past 24 hours bringing the total to 28,540 including 6,535 active cases and 26 deaths, the National Taskforce Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control told a press conference today.

Of the new confirmed cases, 507 were classified as local infections and one as imported case.

The local infections were recorded in Vientiane 400, Luang Prabang 23, Bokeo, Borikhamxay and Khammuan 13 each, Vientiane (province) 11, Savannakhet 10, Xaysomboun five, and Champassak four.
