Some 1,007 new Covid-19 cases and 12 new deaths have been reported nationwide over the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 105,380 including 10,475 active cases and 317 deaths, according to National Taskforce Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control. The new deaths included five were documented in Vientiane, six in Luang Prabang and one in Bokeo.

The committee told a press conference today that some 1,246 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals yesterday.

Of the new confirmed cases, 500 were reported in Vientiane, 107 in Oudomxay, 63 in Luang Prabang, 57 in Bokeo, 54 in Vientiane (province), 46 in Luang Namtha, 28 each in Phongsaly and Xieng Khuang.

Meanwhile, 24 each were recorded in Borikhamxay and Xaysomboun, 21 in Khammuan, 13 each in Savannakhret and Champassak, nine in Huaphan, six in Xekong, five in Saravan, four in Xayaboury and three in Attapeu.
