Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoultih has sent a message of sympathy to his Indian counterpart Narenda Modi.
The message read:
I have learned of the train derailment accident in the northern part of India on Nov 20, 2016, causing tremendous loss of lives and property.
On behalf of the government and people of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, I would like to express my deepest sympathy through Your Excellency to the government and people of India, particularly to the families of the victims.
I am confident that under intensive effort by the government of Your Excellency, the Indian people will able to overcome the various difficulties that have resulted from this accident and quickly restore the situation to normalcy.
