Vientiane: Athletes representing the Ministry of National Defense delivered a stellar performance at the 12th National Games (Vientiane Games 2025), winning four consecutive gold medals and bringing pride to both their team.
According to Lao News Agency, the first gold was claimed by Ms. Phouthalath Innud, who triumphed in the women’s 5,000-meter race, crossing the finish line with an impressive time of 20:01:08. The second gold came from Mr. Saidavanh Vongsavanh in the men’s long jump, achieving a remarkable distance of 7.02 meters.
The Ministry’s track and field team secured the third gold in the 400-meter mixed relay, showcasing excellent teamwork, coordination, and strategy. The fourth gold was added by Mr. Bounchan Sengaroun, who completed the Ministry’s sweep by winning the men’s 5,000-meter race.
