The Nam Kata irrigation model project in Boualapha district, Khammouane province under support of the French Development Agency (AFD) worth US$4.5 million, has been handed over once the construction completed.
Handover ceremony of the construction project of Nam Kata irrigation project was held in Nasomboun village on August 19 in the presence of the Insy Deleveopment Construction Sole Ltd (constructor) and Irrigation Department, Provincial Agriculture and Forestry Office and other relevant officials.
A two-year project has improved and extended an irrigation system in Boualapha district where more than 1,700 families in four villages received benefits as a part of poverty reduction in the district.
