CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Four provinces and four local government units in the Northern Mindanao Region have been included in the PHP1.055 billion allocation for the Green, Green, Green Program (GGGP).
The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) announced on Tuesday that the covered areas are the provinces of Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental and Lanao del Norte.
The LGUs included are Baloi in Lanao del Norte, Lugait and Claveria in Misamis Oriental, and this city.
In a statement, DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman said that the GGGP funding will be released to 80 LGUs nationwide, including 38 provinces, cities and municipalities in Luzon, 21 in Visayas, and 21 in Mindanao.

Marcos Jr.) goal of a Bagong Pilipinas (New Philippines), where every Filipino is committed to the improvement of life in the community, contributing to a healthy ecology, and in providing secure environments that will benefit future generation
s,’ she said.
Launched in 2018, the GGGP is an initiative that aims to support beneficiary provinces, cities, and municipalities in promoting green open spaces and infrastructure projects for active mobility.
DBM also released guidelines for allocation under the Local Government Support Fund-GGGP in the 2024 General Appropriations Act.
The funds are intended for constructing, rehabilitating, enhancing or improving green open spaces, including public parks and plazas.
