Arnel Gacer and his wife Jobelle de Guzman, the owners of One Dream Global Marketing (One Dream), failed again on Monday to show up at the preliminary investigation of the complaint for syndicated estafa filed against them before the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Belinda de Guzman, one of the members of the management team of One Dream, was also supposed to submit her counter-affidavit on Monday, but she also failed to show up at the DOJ.
She appeared during the past two hearings of the preliminary investigation at the DOJ.
Hence, Prosecutor Rohaira Lao declared the complaint as “submitted for resolution.”
Because of this, the DOJ will have to resolve the complaint of 18 victims of investment scam within a period of 60 days from Monday whether there is probable cause to file in court the complaint for syndicated estafa.
According to Atty. Percival Brigola, lawyer of the victims, his clients are hoping for a speedy resolution of the complaint to file it in court so that the court can issue a warrant of arrest against Gacer and 11 other One Dream officials, who are also respondents in the complaint. (PNA)SCS/PTR
