Over 6 million people across the country have been vaccinated against Covid-19 with over 3 million given second jab and over 3.6 million given first dose as of Nov 19, shows data of the Centre of Information and Education for Health, Ministry of Health.

Vientiane has more than 683,000 people (70% of population in the capital city) vaccinated with second shot and over 744,000 people (76%) given first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Meanwhile, more than 195,845 (41%) have been fully vaccinated and over 249,400 (53%) given first dose of Covid-19 vaccine in Luang Prabang, and over 188,000 (42%) administered with second dose and over 224,800 (51%) given first dose in Khammuan.

In Bokeo, over 126,500 (61.2 %) people have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, and more than 146,000 people (70 %) have been inoculated with first dose.

Xaysomboun, Oudomxay and Phongsaly currently rank in the bottom of the list of provinces with lowest vaccination rates with Xaysomboun having over 35,500 (32%) given second dose and over 40,900 people (36%) given first dose, Oudomxay witnessing over 107,400 (30.6%) administered with second shot and over 138,300 people (39.5%) given first dose, and Phongsaly reporting over 48,800 people (25 %) fully vaccinated, and over 74,800 (38.4%) people administered with first shot.
