The country needs to always be vigilant and diligent in protecting its peace and security. This is because Brunei Darussalam is not exempted from global threats despite its relatively peaceful environment.
Thus cooperation relations with friends and partners from various layers of the military, both near and far, is crucial in the full context of the threats and challenges faced today which are becoming more complex, interwoven and unpredictable. This makes the security environment more uncertain.
The Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah made the speech at the opening of the 8th Asia-Pacific Intelligence Chiefs Conference (APICC).
