President Begins State Visit in Cambodia

President Bounnhang Vorachit started his two-day state visit to Cambodia in response to an invitation from his Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia.

President Bounnhang Vorachit and his delegation of high-level officials were greeted upon arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport by Samdech Chaufea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace, and Say Samal, Minister of Environment as Minister-in-Attendance.

According to the programme, following his arrival the president will be received in a Royal Audience by His Majesty the King at the Royal Palace.

He is expected to have separate meetings with Cambodian dignitaries namely Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, President of the Senate; Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly; and Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

This state visit is a significant event to further enhance friendship and strengthen cooperation in all fields between both countries and people, according to the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
