(KPL) Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone received in Vientiane on Jul 27 a courtesy call from Brunei Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Abdul Manaf bin Metussin as the latter is on a working visit to Laos.
At amicable talks, Prime Minister Sonexay highly valued the visit of the Brunei Minister as a significant contribution to strengthening the solidarity, relations and cooperation between Laos and Brunei especially to the implementation of the memorandum of agricultural cooperation between the two governments which focuses on food production, agricultural technology, productivity, standard and quality as well as the production of rice for export to Brunei.
The premier urged both sides to continue to work together to effectively prepare projects they have planned, especially the export-oriented production of rice and other agricultural products.
In reply, the Brunei minister expressed thanks to the Prime Minister for his warm welcome and said that his meeting with the premier constitutes a landmark in strengthening the relations and cooperation between Brunei and the Lao PDR.
He also informed the host about the objective of his working visit to Laos.
