Public Toilet for Tourists Opened in LuangPrabang

A public toilet was opened last week in LuangPrabang district and province to serve the general public and tourists who visited night market.

The opening ceremony was held at the Ethnic Market in Pakham village, LuangPrabang district and province by District ChiefSoukanhBounyong and relevant officials.

This project is aims to provide clean toilets to the general public, especially tourists who visit night markets.

The construction of the public toilet was supported by ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation under the ASEAN Environmentally Sustainable Cities project worth over 200 million kip. LuangPrabang province contributed 25 million kip for the construction.

The toilet is 8.3 meters X 3 meters, consisting of two malestalls, three femalestalls and one room for people with disabilities. The construction began in February and was completed early this month.
