A romantic comedy film Louis and Baitong will screen again at the Major Platinum Cinema Complex in Vientiane Centre, Vientiane Capital on June 8-21.
Louis is a Lao boy who grew up in France and has returned to Vientiane, his home, to search for his missing mother, Mrs Phone. Baitong is a specialist in finding missing persons whom Louis hires to help him find his mother. Together, they go to Vangvieng to search for people with his mother’s name.
Baitong’s heart had previously been broken before she met Louis, and her journey with him inadvertently causes their relationship to grow, Director of TK Sound Lao Company who also directed the film, Thavisack Thammavongsa said at the screening for media on June 5.
Louis and Baitong like and admire each other, but they are not sure whether what they feel is love. After returning to Vientiane, many obstacles to their relationship arise, and Louis struggles to overcome them.
Mr Thavisack said that the film is being screened again because the company wants the public to know more about Lao movies and give audiences a chance to follow the Lao movie in theaters.
The movie also will be screened at Major Cinema, Friendship Mall and in Champassack province.
Tickets are now available at theatres, with prices ranging from 24,000 kip to 48,000 kip per ticket.
