Saravan Province will soon focus on the development of tourist sites and the improvement of tourism infrastructure facilities to prepare to welcome Visit Laos 2018.
The authorities of province will focus on natural tourist sites and waterfalls, guesthouses, hotels and restaurants so as to attract more tourists to Saravane Province, said the Head of the Information, Culture and Tourism Division of Saravan Province, Mr Somchay Ounchit.
“We require funds to spend for the development of tourist sites, guesthouses, hotels and restaurants,” said Mr Somchay, adding that the expensive cost of services at tourist sites and the expense of food still needs to be resolved.
Currently, Saravan Province has 91 tourist sites including 49 natural sites, 36 cultural sites, and six archeological sites. There are 44 guesthouses, six hotels, 47 restaurants and 64 beer shops.
