U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will present an award at the USA Olympic Committee Team Awards Ceremony, to be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at McDonough Arena on the campus of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
The awards ceremony will recognize the outstanding U.S. performances from the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Secretary Kerry’s award presentation will be open to the press.
Media interested in attending the event can register for credentials here. Access information will be provided by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC).
Media representatives may attend this event upon presentation of one of the following: (1) A U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification card (driver’s license, passport).
