Sepon Contributes over US$1.5 billion to National Revenue

MMG Lane Xang Minerals Limited of Sepon has contributed over US$1.5 billion to the state revenue of Lao PDR since it began operating in Laos.

Sepon has set a new standard for mining in Southeast Asia by sticking to the terms of world-class leading environment, community development, worker safety and investment in creating skills for Lao workers.

Last week, Deputy Minister of Energy and Mines Thongphat Inthavong and Australian Ambassador to Laos Mr John Williams met the former founder of the Sepon gold and copper mine in southern Laos, Mr Owen Hegarty, and CRA former executive manager Tony Manini.

On the same day, Owen and Tony, representing the company, attended a business networking reception which was hosted by ANZ Bank in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone.
