Singapore’s Leon Kwek tipping the ball away from Laos’ Siphandone Lothalath and Khonesavanh Lattana during the Republic’s resounding 113-21 South-east Asia Basketball Association (Seaba) Championship win at the OCBC Arena last night.
Singapore raced to a 30-2 lead by the end of the first quarter, and were very much on top against a Laos side who never looked like a threat, despite the pace of Lattana causing a few problems to the Singapore defence.
Top scorer Kwek notched 18 points while captain Desmond Oh scored 10 points, despite being on the court for less than 11 minutes.
The championship will be held daily until Friday, with all Singapore matches starting at 8pm. They will meet Brunei today.
