Brunei Darussalam will for the first time play host to the Asian Football Confederation Under-14 Football Festival at regional level from the 18th until the 22nd of August.
The festival will be conducted by the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam. In this regard, a media conference was held yesterday afternoon at NFABD House in Berakas.
According to Muhammad RedzuanHjMadali, the chairman of the festival, 9 under-14 football teams from Brunei Darussalam, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Timor Leste will take part in the festival.
The festival is one of AFC’s programmes to develop football in the region. The main aim of the festival is to give the young players early match exposure.The public are welcome to watch the matches for free at the Track and Field of the HassanalBolkiah National Sports Complex and the Berakas Sports Complex.
