The Thai Airways launched its resume direct flights with Thai A320 aircraft between Wattay International Airport in Vientiane Capital, Laos, and Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand on August 15.
The launching ceremony was held at the Wattay International Airport in Vientiane in the presence of the Deputy Director of the Department of Civil Aviation, Mr. Sengsaghuan Chanthavong, Thai Ambassador to Laos Morakot Sriswasdi and the Director of Sale of the Thai Airways International Public Company Limited Wit Kitchathorn.
Many flight routes have been resumed following suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.
The airline said that it stop the previously operating Thai Smile Airways flight route, and utilize Thai Airways’ bigger A320 aircraft instead. The route will operate two daily flights between the neighboring nations (14 flights weekly).
