Star Telecom (Unitel) presented an aid package worth over USD48,000 to Lao – Vietnam Nguyen Du Bilingual School in Vientiane on Aug 18. “The assistance comprises an information technology classroom with over 30 sets of computers, tables and chairs, IT solutions and two high-speed Internet connection cable lines,” said Unitel General Director Luu Manh Ha.
The assistance is the first pilot model to improve teaching quality amid the fourth industrial revolution. If successful, it will be spread to other schools.
Director of Lao – Vietnam Nguyen Du Bilingual School, Ms Sivanheuang Phengkhammay expressed thanks to Unitel for helping upgrade the school and pledged it will use the aid for intended purposes.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Ba Hung expressed his confidence that with the support of Unitel, the school will be able to improve its management and teaching quality, deserving a model representing the Vietnamese culture in the Lao PDR.
