The National Taskforce Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control has reported 315 new cases of Covid-19 over the past twenty-four hours with 301 infections classified as imported cases – returning workers from neigbouring countries – and 14 as local infections.
The new cases were detected among 3,345 tested for Covid-19 nationwide.
The local transmissions were reported in Bokeo (8), Khammuan 3 and Vientiane 3.
Savannakhet reported 77 imported cases as Khammuan and Saravan posted 69 and 64 imported cases, respectively.
Champassak reported 43 imported cases. Some 39 imported cases were reported in Vientiane.
Vientiane (province) and Luang Prabang documented seven and two imported cases, respectively.
