Bac Giang harvests early-ripening lychees


Phuc Hoa commune in Bac Giang province’s Tan Yen district has more than 700 hectares of lychee plants, of which 400 hectares meeting VietGAP standards and 10 ha meeting GlobalGAP standards. Local farmers are diligently completing the final stages of preparations to supply the market with the first ripe, sweet, and succulent lychees. With advantages from early ripening, along with its bright appearance and distinctive sweet taste, the lychees are predicted to attract significant customer interest. This year’s output is predicted to reach more than 10,000 tons, with a high selling price at 35,000 – 40,000 VND (1.37 – 1.57USD) per kg of lychees.
