Miss Souksavanh Manyvongxay, the first runner-up of the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest 2018, will represent Laos to compete in the world edition of the contest in Japan on Aug 27-31.
Miss Souksavanh, a 14-year-old student from Piawat Secondary School in Vientiane Capital, will also visit a Toyota company in Japan and join many activities during the competition.
As for the Lao PDR, Toyota Dream Car Art Contest was launched in 2011. In 2014, a Lao student was crowned the Silver Award at the world level, said Mr Nikron Prasertsom, Executive Advisor, Toyota Motor Thailand.
We are glad to be part of supporting Lao students in the world art competition in Japan and we hope the Lao student will win any prize from the competition, said Mr Nikron.
Toyota Dream Car Contest World edition 2018 drew more than 650,000 candidates from 79 countries worldwide, according to Mr Nikron Prasertsom.
National winners of Toyota Dream Car Art Contest 2018 were announced in Vientiane Capital on July 19 in the presence of Chief Executive Officer of the Mekong Division for Toyota Motor Thailand, Mr Wichien Emprasertsuk.
