Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security Gen. Vilay Lakhamfong met with Malaysian Ambassador to Laos Edi Irwan Bin Mahmud to discuss cooperation between Laos and Malaysia.

The Deputy Prime Minister highly valued his meeting with the Malaysian Ambassador. He noted that the meeting constituted a significant contribution to strengthening the relations and cooperation between Laos and Malaysia.

Both sides reviewed the cooperation between the two countries over the past years and discussed possible joint efforts to address human trafficking and other transnational crimes.

Ambassador Mahmud assured the host that he will further enhance the cooperation and solidarity between the two countries and address common problems in an effective manner.
