The retail price of fuel has been adjusted to decrease slightly: a 140-kip drop per litre for unleaded petrol; a 130-kip per litre for regular petrol; and a 100-kip per litre for diesel.
This is according to an announcement by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce on June 8.
Fuel price was amended to decline for the first time this year following the turndown of oil prices in the world market.
In Vientiane Capital, the cost of unleaded petrol decreased from 8,870 per litre kip to 8,730 kip, regular petrol dropped from 7,870 kip to 7,740 kip per litre, and diesel decreased from 6,890 kip to 6,790 kip per litre.
Fuel costs will vary at different locations in the country depending on the transport distance.
