Current SEA Games bronze medalist Lodkeo Inthakoumman has secured the first place for second time in women’s category of Vientiane Half Marathon (21 KM).
The second and third places in the category belonged respectively to Aregay from Ethiopia and Nathalie Cochet from France.
The 3rd Vientiane International Half Marathon, held in Vientiane on March 4, were split into three events namely Half Marathon 21 KM, Quarter Marathon 10.5 KM, and Fun run/walk 5 KM.
The first place of Half Marathon 21 KM for men was Edwin Kiptanui Kichwen from Ethiopia while Mr Noak Kipchirehir Kigen from Kenya grabbed the second place and his country mate Samson Kiplagat Tewai won the third place.
The first to third prizes for both men and women categories of Half Marathon were 5 million kip, 2.5 million kip and one million kip, respectively.
The winner of Quarter Marathon 10.5 KM for men’s category was Mr Okazaki Yukiko. Mr Lai Lee Heok one second place and Mr Napaporn Chatpolchai took third prize.
The winner of Quarter Marathon 10.5 KM (women category) was Nitthiya Lardsomphou with Helan Ford announced as the winner of second place and Palinyakone as a third prize winner.
The first to third place winners of men’s and women’s categories of Quarter Marathon 10.5 KM were awarded 2 million kip, 1 million kip and 800,000 kip, respectively.
