The Law Committee of the National Assembly has discussed monitoring the implementation of the national constitution and laws and the issuance of sub-law instruments and law dissemination.
The discussion at the meeting also focused on the plan of the committee over the next four years (2017-2020).
The meeting on the Law Committees of the National Assembly was held at the National Assembly Office in Vientiane Capital on Feb 27-28.
Over the past year, the law committee has disseminated a number of laws on justice, national defence and public security, and socio economic development.
‘To ensure that civil servants and Lao people have a broader knowledge and understanding of the Lao law documents and take part in implementing the law in a stringent manner, the law committee has visited provinces to communicate the laws to local people, especially the law on civil procedure, the law on criminal procedure, the law on inheritance, the law on family the law on the provincial people’s councils, and the Law on Tort,’ said Chairman of the Law Committee of the National Assembly Mr Saythong Keodouangdy.
