Five villages in Toumlarn District, Salavan Province were given relief aid items by the Salavan Governor’s wife. The relief goods had been donated by many sectors to help ethnic people in remote areas.
A ceremony was held last weekend where President of the Salavan Women’s Union, Ms Bounthavy Duanglasy, and the Salavan Governor’s wife, Ms Chantho Vongchomsy represented local administration to donate the relief aid packages to locals.
The relief aid items, including blankets, rice, shoes, instant noodles, sugar and canned fish, have been donated to Boynam, Tayerk, Lamuek, Vungheuan, and Vungvy villages in Toumlarn District.
Ms Bounthavy said that the donation was to relieve and improve the livelihoods of locals living in poor conditions and in remote areas.
