Over 62,000 grade 7 Upper Secondary School students across the country are sitting their final examinations, which began on June 20.
The annual exams for grade 7 students of Upper Secondary School ends on June 21 and the subjects include mathematics, Lao language-literature, physics and history.
There are 281 exam centres across the country. Vientiane Capital has 22 centres and 499 classrooms where 10,056 students are taking the exam with 1,045 invigilators, according to Deputy Director of the Vientiane Capital Education and Sports Department Phouthone Sengdala.
This academic year (2016-2017), the number of grade 7 Upper Secondary School students saw an increase of 4,163 nationwide when compared to the last academic year, Mr Phouthone said, adding that the results of the final examinations are expected to be announced at the end of this month.
